Archival Pigment Prints—Travel Series

The subject of this large, ongoing body of color work I loosely define as “place.” When traveling I follow the camera’s lead rather than pursuing preconceived ideas. My only pre-conditions are to avoid clichés and photograph with compassion. I reject opportunities to photograph abject poverty and human suffering, or any behaviors that degrade the human spirit. We already have plenty of those.
